Abstract

Sociology is scientific study of social issues and human society. It focuses on social structures and how they work together to change people’s opportunities, behaviors, and attitudes. Social institutions that support society, including those related to kinship, economy, politics, education, and religion, are essential. Health institutions aim to ensure human survival and well-being. Sociology's primary focus is on social life, as social interaction is fundamental to human existence. Social engagement alone may increase an individual’s chance of contracting a communicable illness. Health issues are viewed as social issues because they harm society and have an impact on the collective. Social problems include health issues, criminal activity, deviance, violence, poverty, inequality, demographic issues, delinquency, and institutional instability. Sociology studies and generalizations about human behavior, trends, and groups using a scientific method. According to American Sociological Association, sociology is the study of social life, social development, and social factors that influence and are influenced by human behavior. Social issues are verifiable, objective circumstances that pose social damage, have a social etiology or potentially have one, and impact collectivity.
