THE ROLE OF FAMILY DYNAMICS IN SHAPING ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR

Abstract

This review research paper aims to explore the role of family dynamics in shaping adolescent behavior, with a focus on understanding how family structures, interactions, and relationships influence various aspects of adolescent development and behavior. Drawing from developmental psychology, family systems theory, and socio-ecological models, this paper provides a theoretical framework to analyze the complex interplay between family dynamics and adolescent behavior. A comprehensive literature review approach is adopted, encompassing studies from psychology, sociology, and related fields. The methodology includes synthesizing empirical research, theoretical perspectives, and practical insights to provide a holistic understanding of the topic. The findings reveal that family dynamics significantly impact adolescent behavior, encompassing areas such as emotional regulation, identity formation, risk-taking behaviors, academic achievement, and mental health outcomes.
