Abstract

Unlike conventional copyright systems that operate on a national level and lack a global ledger for copyright data storage, our proposal centers around a decentralized copyright system built on a consortium blockchain. This innovative system aims to facilitate cross-border copyright protection for individuals' digital content while overcoming existing limitations in international copyright management. It establishes a synchronized platform for registering and trading copyright on a global scale without relying on a centralized global cloud infrastructure. Countries become members of a copyright federation within this system and play a crucial role in block creation through the execution of an energy-efficient proof of authority consensus algorithm. These countries serve as authorities on the platform, validating user transactions and storing them securely on the blockchain. Access to copyrighted works is open to all, whether registered users or not, but only registered users are permitted to engage in transactions within the platform. This ensures transparency and accountability while safeguarding the rights of copyright holders across borders.
