The paper explores the landscapes of early childhood education in India within the framework of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.NEP 2020 presents several opportunities for enhancing the quality and accessibility of early childhood education in India. By integrating ECE into the mainstream education system and providing a strong policy framework, NEP 2020 seeks to improve school readiness, cognitive development and learning outcomes among children. The paper examines the key components of the NEP 2020 related to early childhood education, analyze the opportunities it presents and discusses the challenges that need to be addressed for effective implementation and offers recommendations for policymakers, educators and stakeholders to enhance the quality and accessibility of early childhood education.Published
