Abstract

Logic and mathematics are two very interconnected disciplines, as logic is very general theory of inference and reasoning, and both of which play a pivotal role in mathematics, because mathematicians prove theorems, and to do this we need to use logical principles and logical inferences. In fact, Mathematical logic explores the applications of formal logic to mathematics. It bears close connections to metamathematics and the foundations of mathematics.
