Abstract

There might be various reasons behind any conflict. However, there are three aspects which are plausibly responsible for any conflict. Those three are- misinterpretation, misrepresentation, and bad argumentation. It can be argued that by focusing on these three issues, many (if not all) conflicts might be resolved. In case of any conflict resolution, removal of misinterpretation, misrepresentation and bad argumentation can play a crucial role. In order to do so, we need a proper method and/or methodology of argumentation that will ensure the logical quality of that argumentation. For that purpose, we might take resort in a method of argumentation that has been developed centuries ago, in ancient India: the method of ānvīkṣikī.
