Abstract

This research paper explores talent acquisition challenges in the Information Technology (IT) industry, focusing on skill shortages, diversity, and technological advancements. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through a structured questionnaire and supplemented with secondary sources. Findings reveal reliance on internal recruitment teams and AI tools, with challenges including talent scarcity and lengthy hiring processes. Technology, particularly AI, is crucial, yet the shift to remote work presents both opportunities and obstacles. Recommendations include prioritizing learning, embracing diversity, and leveraging technology for improved talent acquisition. Practical insights are provided for HR professionals, IT firms, policymakers, and educators to navigate these challenges and foster growth and innovation in the IT sector.
