This research paper delves into the imperative role of Strategic Human Resource Planning (SHRP) in optimizing organizational performance within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, specifically focusing on Vadodara. Through a mixed-method approach combining quantitative and qualitative research methods, data was collected from 450 respondents within diverse FMCG organizations. The study aimed to examine the alignment of HR initiatives with organizational goals, evaluate the impact on resource allocation, analyse the effect on organizational performance, and identify challenges and potential mitigation strategies. Key findings indicate that SHRP plays a pivotal role in ensuring organizational success by aligning HR practices with strategic objectives. While 65.3% of respondents were aged between 18-25 years, indicating a youthful workforce, gender distribution was nearly equal with 51.4% male and 48.6% female respondents. The study revealed varied perceptions regarding leadership communication on strategic HR planning, with 45.9% feeling neutral. However, 54.1% agreed that their skills matched their role requirements. Additionally, 45.9% agreed that resource allocation practices aligned with long-term organizational goals. ANOVA results confirmed significant differences in perceptions across various HR aspects, highlighting areas for improvement. Limitations included issues of generalizability, sample size, data quality, time constraints, methodological limitations, resource constraints, external factors, organizational dynamics, human factors, and ethical considerations. In conclusion, while this study provides valuable insights into the importance of SHRP in FMCG organizations in Vadodara, its applicability may be limited by various factors. Addressing these limitations can enhance the credibility and usefulness of the findings, guiding organizations towards more effective HR planning strategies and improved performance in the dynamic FMCG landscape.Metrics
