POSTUROLOGY AND ITS ROLE IN PHYSIOTHERAPY

Abstract

Posturology is a scientific discipline that examines and investigates posture and the mechanisms that regulate and maintain it. This area of study encompasses the comprehension of how the body is positioned and aligned in space, and how various systems, including the musculoskeletal, nervous, and sensory systems, interact to maintain balance and posture. Posturology aims to identify, assess, and rectify postural imbalances and dysfunctions that can result in discomfort, decreased mobility, and other health problems.(1,2)
