Abstract

Learning Management Systems (LMS) are essential for providing students throughout the world with high-quality educational resources in higher education. LMS facilitates the dissemination of high-quality educational content by acting as a digital mediator between instructors and students. This relationship is changed when Artificial Intelligence (AI) is incorporated into Learning Management Systems (LMS). The organisation of learning management systems and online learning experiences could be significantly improved by artificial intelligence technologies. Artificial Intelligence (AI) introduces intelligent agents that mimic the cognitive abilities of teachers and students and provide a fresh outlook on LMS operations because they are based on the imitation of human cognitive processes. Many studies have been conducted on the application of artificial intelligence in e-learning, but relatively few of them show how to incorporate these applications into learning management systems. This paper offers a thorough analysis of LMSs that have used AI techniques. It also describes how different ways can be used to integrate AI into learning management systems, along with the problems that come with it and possible solutions. The goal of these integrations is to improve the learning environment for faculty members, administrators, and students.
