Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) focuses on developing 'intelligent agents'that can perceive their environment and make decisions to improve their chances of success. These agents can take the form of physical robots or virtual avatars with cognitive abilities. AI techniques have been increasingly used to improve the quality of life for individuals with specific needs, addressing a wide range of challenges related to learning, cognition, communication, behavior, emotion, sensory perception, and physical development. It is important to recognize that children progress at different rates and have unique strengths and requirements. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the context in which AI will be applied is essential, considering factors such as availability, training needs, and specific requirements. These considerations may vary depending on social circumstances, but AI can undoubtedly create collaborative and interactive environments. AI-driven innovations are opening up new opportunities for individuals regardless of their auditory, verbal, or written abilities. By harnessing AI technology, we can create more inclusive and supportive environments for everyone.
