Abstract

The avian diversity and community structure acts as an indicator of the ecosystem health. In urban habitats, birds respond to the influence of anthropogenic activities. The present study in a small urban landscape showed the presence of fifteen species of birds , mostly from the order Passeriformes. Further, the prominent presence of omnivores and granivores indicates the adaptability to the urban environment.
