ADDRESSING CLIMATE CHANGE CHALLENGES THROUGH INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

Abstract

Climate change is currently one of the greatest challenges of the world and developing climate resilience is a way to solve this problem. This can be achieved through combined efforts of climate adaptation and mitigation. At the global level, various types of cooperation and partnerships have been taking place among countries to solve the problems of climate change and promote sustainable development. Decisions taken by various cooperation partners at the global level affect climate actions worldwide and the lives of millions of people at ground level. The aim of this article to discuss climate change related treaties and agreements as well as agencies working to reduce effect of climate change. The article also discusses obstacles in the path of global cooperation and way forward to mitigate the effect of climate change at global level.
