Abstract

Subjective well-being and self-efficacy are essential pillars which significantly impact an individual’s life. This article examines recent research in psychology and allied disciplines and attempts to understand the role of subjective well-being and self-efficacy as paramount for fostering personal success and life satisfaction. Through a comprehensive literature review, which has focused primarily on adults, it is evident that self-efficacy and subjective well-being move hand-in-hand and that, as there is an increase in self-efficacy, there is an increase in subjective well-being. Thus the findings of this study offer insight into strategies for enhancing subjective well-being and self-efficacy across diverse contexts, paving the way for meaningful interventions.
