The study on Global Citizenship Education (GCE) in the 21st century investigates the challenges and opportunities inherent in cultivating global citizenship among learners. In an era marked by increasing interconnectivity, GCE plays a pivotal role in fostering understanding, empathy, and responsibility towards global issues. This abstract underscores the significance of integrating GCE into educational frameworks to empower learners with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values essential for active global citizenship. It highlights the pressing need to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and social injustice through comprehensive GCE initiatives. However, the abstract also acknowledges the complexities and barriers hindering effective GCE implementation, including cultural diversity, political agendas, and resource limitations. Despite these challenges, the abstract emphasizes the transformative potential of GCE in creating a more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful global society. By equipping learners with the tools to critically engage with complex global issues, GCE opens avenues for meaningful participation and collaboration in addressing shared challenges.Published
