ROLE OF EDUCATION IN GREEN TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

In modern world technology has a pervasive influence on modern life which has fundamentally altered how we live, work, and interact with the world. By solving practical problems and extending our abilities, technological advancements have improved our quality of life and opened up new possibilities. As we continue to innovate, it is essential to consider the ethical and environmental implications to ensure that technology benefits all of humanity and sustains our planet for future generations. It is found that the incorrect usage and misuse of technology, overexploitation of environmental resources can pose serious threat to nature. The present paper attempts to study about Green technology also referred to as clean technology which moderates and or eliminates to a great extent the harmful impacts of technology on environment. Education plays a key role to promote sustainable development by educating individuals how to make environmentally responsible choices in their daily lives. This includes reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, and supporting the use of sustainable products. A holistic approach will ensure positive impact and can help drive the transition towards a greener and more sustainable world.
