Since education depends on a corpus of knowledge, there is need to add new scientific knowledge to it for enrichment and improvement. NEP 2020 policy aims at abolishing the age old definition of science, arts, commerce, etc., to unify knowledge and to enhance the career scope for the future generation. Assessments of educational approaches in undergraduate education that integrate the humanities and arts with STEM have consistently showed positive learning outcomes. Research is also improved and enhanced through a holistic education approach. A comprehensive holistic arts education will develop all capacities of human beings intellectual, aesthetic, social, physical, emotional and moral in an integrated manner. STEM enhances the creativity among the students and provides opportunities for the all round development of the students. STEAM is an educational approach that incorporates the arts into the more familiar STEM model, which includes science, technology, engineering and mathematics. STEAM programs can include any of the visual or performing arts, such as dance, design, painting, photography and writing. Through STEAM education students will be able to transform her/his minds by encircling innovative thinking. It also fosters a students’ ability to solve the problems and come up with the creative solutions.Metrics
