Abstract

The meaning of the word “Research” is searching for something which is novel and modifying the existing information. It is a “meticulous and systematic inquiry process designed to explore and unravel specific subjects or issues with precision” (Jain, 2023). While conducting educational research, the researchers should adhere to some ethical rules of the educational research. “Ethics” can be said as the branch of philosophy which focuses on addressing the implications of moral principles of the scientific research work. “It is the responsibility of the researcher to make sure that all ethical guidelines are followed throughout the research process” (OmniStar Research, 2022). Some important ethical considerations in the educational research include issues related to informed consent, fabrication and falsification, Confidentiality, Plagiarism, Acknowledgment for all the contributors in research, Discrimination, Authorship, Publication, Copyright, research supervision and grants etc. In the present paper, these important ethical issues in relation to educational research and some important suggestions for addressing them are discussed.
