DIGITALIZATION OF TEACHER EDUCATION IN POST COVID ERA

Abstract

Digital Education is the creative use of digital tools and technologies for teaching and learning. When educational institutions closed across the country in this COVID pandemic situation, there were varying approaches in person classroom to a remote learning environment. This concept was popularized in the post COVID era, when we promise of digital learning to each of our students and student teachers in educational as well as teacher educational institutions. This chapter is based on the concept of digitalization of teacher education in post COVID Era which includes the concept of digital education, need and uses of digital education in teacher education, Initiatives of MHRD for Digital Education in India, Advancements of Digital Education in Teacher Education and Challenges with Digital Education in Post COVID Era. This chapter will help the learners to know the various ways, opportunities and challenges in the way of digitalization of teacher education in the post COVID Era.
