Abstract

The study titled "Development of social media and its role in higher education" seeks to analyze and comprehend students' and teachers' opinions, experiences, and concerns about the use of social media for educational purposes, particularly in higher education settings. Social media's pervasiveness alone merits its inclusion as a crucial subject for research in higher education. The increasing usage of social media has encouraged academics and researchers to investigate social networks and their ties to other disciplines of study. Several studies have examined the use of social media in education. However, there is a need for further investigations in this field. The study explores students' and instructors' perceptions on social media, as well as how educators use social media as instructional resources to improve learning methodologies and teaching approaches.
