USE OF AI IN EDUCATION: AI-POWERED EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS

Abstract

Education is a process where knowledge is transferred from teacher to students, aged to younger generation, from wise to inexperienced. Psychologists have shown the role of teachers in training nascent minds. Educational psychology demonstrates how learners can achieve beyond their capacity with help of teachers. In present times, teacher’s role is that of facilitator who creates the learning environment. 21st century education has seen the advent of AI tools which assist learners and can be described as AI-powered educational assistants. In this chapter author tries to classify these tools and discuss their applications in classroom. This chapter is based on secondary data sources as websites, journals, books, seminar proceedings and policy document. Significance of this paper lies in the fact that it will help readers to get acquainted with several AI powered tools.
