Abstract

Vermicomposting is the method by which organic waste is transformed into compost through the use of earthworms and microbes. This practice is considered eco-friendly due to its ability to minimize landfill waste, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and generate nutrient-dense fertilizer for plants. India and other countries offer lucrative vermiculture entrepreneurial prospects because to the significant need for organic fertilizers and sustainable agricultural methods. The objective of this paper is therefore to understand the concept of vermicomposting, highlight the environment friendly benefits and explore the entrepreneurship opportunities associated with this technique.
