Abstract

Women play an indispensable role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) due to their contributions across various domains, including economic growth, health, education, environmental sustainability, and peacebuilding. This chapter provides an extensive exploration of women's impact on sustainable development, supported by numerous examples, case studies, and in-text citations. It examines the role of women in each of the 17 SDGs, highlighting specific contributions and challenges. The chapter also outlines the objectives of the study, the methodology employed, and a comprehensive literature survey. It concludes with a detailed analysis of the findings, offering inferences and recommendations for enhancing women's participation in sustainable development efforts. By ensuring women's rights and opportunities, we can create a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world for all.
