FANTASY SPORTS PLATFORMS IN INDIA

Abstract

Fantasy Sports Platforms (FSPs) constitute a prominent part of the online gaming industry. Under online gaming, no physical movement is there but one can feel the enjoyment of being a player. Although no physical excertion is there in such games, but a thorough mental focus is required. Such Fantasy Sports Platforms have gained ground due to the advancements in the field of Information Technology. In the present chapter, an effort has been made to know the unique characteristics of Fantasy Sports Platforms, and to identify the factors contributing to the Online Gaming Industry in India, and to throw some light on the business models and revenue models pursued by the selected fantasy sports platforms in India.
