The study explores the implementation of the NEP, 2020, and the role of the sharing economy in education, the effectiveness of digital infrastructure, and the current state of online learning platforms. Secondary data has been collected from various sources to identify the current scenario of education system, specially focusing on Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and digital learning. The Government of India (GOI) has empowered its economy by providing a strong digital infrastructure along with digital initiatives to educate a larger mass of population. Although the concept is new to learners but the sharing economy has promising prospects in education, providing chances to improve access, affordability, teamwork, and creativity in the teaching and learning process. Educational institutions can establish more dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable learning environments that empower students and assist them in achieving their learning objectives by adopting sharing economy models.Metrics
