Abstract

NEP 2020 is now more or less implemented nationwide. The policy has proposed huge reforms in the existing system of education in our country. It has a whole new perspective towards the methodology and structure of education aiming at the rapidly changing scenario of the entire world. The boundaries between the countries are blurring in terms of employability and the era of strict division between the subject expertise is also gone. The advancement of new technologies is throwing new challenges to us and professionals are needed to be experts in various subjects and equipped with many skills altogether. In this situation this new policy of education is much needed and welcomed by all in the field of education. The present article is a study of this policy and it is highlighting the main features of the policy and their impact on the society and education system. It also highlights some special measures that are taken here to smoothen the propagation of Mathematical studies in the schools and higher education. It is a long way to go just to implement the policy all over the country then to reap its fruits measurably, but we have started somehow and starting is the first step of fulfilling!!
