Abstract

According to the Census of India 2011, Bhojpuri is a mother tongue of a total number counting to 5,05,79,447 speakers in India. In the Census of India, it can be clearly seen that Hindi language represents Bhojpuri as a mother tongue. A number of other languages have been grouped together as mother tongues under Hindi. To bring a new domain of literary public sphere emerging through digital platforms of social media such as Facebook and YouTube, this study has engaged in accommodating Facebook pages and posts and YouTube videos while studying the aspect of the digitalization of Bhojpuri language, literature and culture. Given the pandemic situation throughout the world in the years 2020-21 approximately, this analysis of digital literary sphere in Bhojpuri will bring newer discussions towards the emerging online sessions/ meetings and more.A number of folk songs in Bhojpuri form an important part of its literature, society and culture and more. In this context, we can see music being available on websites such as YouTube and more.
