Abstract

Green development is a long-term strategy to urban and rural development. It tries to strike a balance between socioeconomic progress and the environmental consequences of that expansion. Green development seeks to maintain harmony between human activities and the environment by promoting green technology and green industries in urbanisation, industrialization, resource management, and regional economic development for restructuring long-term progress. Green development is, to a large degree, a remedy to the economic and industrial activities that have had a negative impact on the environment. While the concept of green development may be traced back to preserving the environment from the effects of economic expansion, it actually incorporates many dimensions and can be debated in economic, social, and environmental contexts.
