Abstract

The urgent need to address environment modification has driven the mission of achieving carbon neutrality to the focus of global environmental policy and economic planning. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the multifaceted strategies required to promote green energy as a fundamental route to achieve carbon neutrality. It begins by explaining the current landscape of global carbon emissions, highlighting the critical role that energy production and consumption play in intensifying climate change. The discussion then evolves to an exploration of green energy technologies, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, and bioenergy, as sustainable alternatives to fossil fuel-based energy sources. Centre to this paper is an examination of policy frameworks, technological innovations, financial mechanisms, and educational initiatives that can collectively foster the adoption of green energy.
