Abstract

This research paper explores the growing concern over the impact of junk food on children's mental health. Junk food, which is typically high in sugar, unhealthy fats, and low in nutritional value, has become a common dietary choice among children worldwide. Recent studies suggest a potential link between poor dietary habits, including the consumption of junk food, and mental health issues in children. This paper examines the theoretical frameworks that could explain how junk food affects children's cognitive functions, emotional regulation, and behavioral patterns, as well as the long-term consequences for their overall well-being. By analyzing existing literature and research findings, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of this relationship and to offer recommendations for mitigating the negative effects of junk food on children's mental health.
