Domestic legislations, meanwhile, offer the legal domestic authority for the enforcement of public health interventions, including quarantine, isolation, and vaccination programs (Roychowdhury, 2020).In India, there are specific laws; the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 to be precise, which avails statutory provisions to govern the epidemics as well as disasters and also to provide the power to the Government to take such necessary steps required to contain the spread of the disease. Public Health Acts in different jurisdictions specify how public health authorities are empowered to do such things as quarantine or take other disease control measures, enforce related regulations, and protect the general health of society.Published
