Abstract

The Antenatal period is the time from the conception of the zygote to the birth of the baby. The baby is usually born between 38 and 42 weeks from the first day of their mother’s LMP. LMP refers to the Last Menstrual Period. The baby is conceived when the sperm fertilizes the ovum. However, the date of conception is calculated from the date of the last menstrual period because usually, no one knows the actual date of conception. The antenatal Period can be divided into three parts.
