Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are often compared to being an engine of economic growth in most developed countries and for them, the issue of external finance can be a great research topic not only to the academician but also to the policy makers around the world. From an economic point of view leasing is an interesting financing option which has emerged as third important source of intermediate and long term financing of corporate enterprise during the recent few decades. Most of the small businesses are family-based and lack appropriate financing for their start- up and maintaining the operations.
