Between 2019 and 2021, global inequality was laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic, which amplified pre-existing disparities in healthcare, education, employment, and digital access. Marginalized communities faced disproportionate hardships, sparking a surge in social justice movements. The Black Lives Matter protests following George Floyd’s death exemplified global outrage against systemic racism. In India, the farmers’ protest and Dalit rights campaigns underscored economic and caste-based discrimination. Simultaneously, gender justice and climate activism gained momentum.Published
