Abstract

Floods are common natural disaster stirring in most parts of the world. It is considered to be one of the important natural climatic component and climatic variability. Ecology is an important aspect of our environment that keeps our environment quivers. The spectrum of river flow variability is a most important ecologically component in a river ecosystem. This research study is to examine check Floods, causing cataclysm, frequently occur in the Dwarka River basin. In this study, We used Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) Techniques which can helped us to identified and prepared Flood Risk zonation Mapping by the accruing and analyzing massive amount of data in short time. The main objectives are (i) To find out the Flood zone assessment affected by Dwarka river basin using various technique for flood causes influence to physical elements. (ii.) To determine the ecological impact of flood in Dwarka river basin. When results were overlayed with various data (Qualitative and Quantitative) regarding this study area, it was seen, that the settlement and agricultural areas in the study area will be affected by floods. The upper part of the Dwarka river basin is more flood effected due to over flowing of water which is one of reasons for high rainfall and also, ecological environmental problems, such as soil and water pollutions, agricultural land degradations causing flood sediments as well as the ecological deterioration on living environment of natural flora and fauna will be caused by floods in the Dwarka River basin. This Research will be helpful to flood management program, dissection makers and planning in local administrative level.
