COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the Education Sector tremendously throughout the world. As a result, the Indian education community with numerous challenges in continuing the learning process. The West Bengal Education system has also experienced an irreversible learning crisis amid the Lockdown and pandemic. School, College, University closure across the country has impacted everyone’s learning experience. This situation has forced the educational sector to shift to a virtual and blended learning mode. Information Technology (IT) has helped the education sector to survive and adapt to the new ways of online learning. In India, the crisis has allowed various educational opportunities to bloom. Stakeholders also across the country have been trying their best to come together. All innovate with different ways to support the students and teachers. Considering the various challenges of digitalization of education in West Bengal, the state has made efforts to optimize the potentiality of the existing and new digital educational platforms to be made available for everyone. Pandemic time, the state has witnessed several IT-driven initiatives on, international, national, state, and individual levels. There has been an aggressive approach in the education sector to utilize the maximum potential of technology to reach every learner of West Bengal, India. This paper examines a few such ambitions which have contributed immensely to making it possible for higher education to get to the remotest corners of West Bengal with the help of technology-related tools.
