Abstract

The capacity to identify, comprehend, regulate, and make good use of one's own Emotions as well as those of others is referred to as Emotional Intelligence. It is essential to Psychological health because it affects how people negotiate social situations, deal with difficulties, and make decisions. Self-awareness, self-control, empathy, and social skills are all included in the idea. People with high Emotional Intelligence are able to adapt to different situations, communicate clearly, and form strong Relationships. It also contributes to mental resilience, aiding in stress management and promoting Mental Health. In the context of Psychological mental ability, Emotional Intelligence is vital for fostering positive mental states, enhancing interpersonal relationships, and navigating the complexities of human emotions. Developing Emotional Intelligence can lead to improved decision-making, increased empathy, and a more balanced approach to handling life's challenges. Therefore, the objective of the presented research chapter is to present the concept, elements and importance of EI in human life from the perspective of Psychological mental ability.
