Abstract

The concept of sustainable development is based on a set of requirements. It must allow the basic needs of present and future generations to be fulfilled with regard to demographic constraints, such as access to water, education, health, employment, and the fight against hunger or malnutrition, as well as to protect the environment also. The deadline (year 2030) was set to meet the main goals of sustainable development, but many negative effects can be observed in many areas, which are considered completely contrary to the concept of sustainable development. But with the help of some initiatives and public awareness, it will be possible to imply the concept of sustainable development.
