Abstract

Current study associated with physicochemical analysis of drinking water of surrounding areas of Godhra city. Fifty samples were collected from different areas of Godhra city, and all Fifty samples were evaluated. Samples from the same location were collected twice for the comparative study, 1st batch of samples was collected in winter season and 2nd batch of samples was collected in summer season. physicochemical parameters such as Colour, Odour, Hardness, pH and TDS were analyzed. Results of the given physicochemical analysis suggested that colour and odour of all samples was normal in mentioned seasons. pH of some of the samples was found to be within the standard limit. Whereas sample nos. 3,6,8,10,13,16,18,20,23,26,28,33,36,38,40,43,46,48 and 50 shown pH higher than the normal value seven. A comparative study of the samples revealed that there is a noticeable change in pH from winter to summer in sample nos.10,16,18 and 26. The remaining samples were shown similar values of pH in both the seasons.
