Woman is portrayed as an essential storehouse of power. As women are a fundamental part of society, they may contribute enormously to the economic expansion of both developed and developing countries. In keeping with the United Nations Report, the economic success of any country is intrinsically connected to the self-determination of women. Yet in the majority of countries in the world, women have less fortunate financial status than males. Women may be promoted by economically empowering them, and when women are empowered, society is guaranteed of stability. Entrepreneurship development among women is regarded as the most powerful way of economically empowering them. Due to restricted culture and men’s dominance, the women’s corner in Indian society is still inactive. As stated in the United Nations Human Development Report (2016), India landed at 135th out of 147 different nations in respect to women’s empowerment. Empowering Indian women via entrepreneurship first came to light in 1970 and garnered momentum in 1991 with the launch of a new industrial policy.
