AN INVESTMENT ANALYSIS OF AGRITECH START-UPS – THE PROGNOSTICATOR OF FUTURE OF FARMING IN INDIA

Abstract

Agritech startups are aiding the Indian farming sector by finding sustainable ways to farming by articulating agricultural strategies through innovation. Agritech startups can change the outlook of agriculture by value chain management, supply chain management, market linked model, data analytics and engineering led innovation. The start-ups prognosticate the future of farming in India embracing all three dimensions of sustainability. The paper tries to assess growth in Agritech startups in terms of investment analysis, SWOT analysis and study of their strategic orientation. The findings of the study prove the unprecedented growth in Agritech start-ups in terms of investment and earnings management within three to five years of their incorporation.
