Corporate Social Responsibility in today's world play's a huge role of corporate governance and company's ethics. CSR is an important part of any business. The purpose of CSR is to give back to the community take part in philanthropic causes, and provide positive social value. It is good for an organization as this could increase competitiveness and provide a huge benefit in the long run. This study examines the corporate social responsibility practice and the motivations behind such practice of the top 3 corporations in India. The aim of this paper is to examine how corporations in India implement the CSR. Corporate social responsibility is a very broader concept that addresses the various topics related to health care and sanitation, environmental effects, relief efforts etc. This paper also focusses on the initiatives taken by these corporations in their reporting pattern and the key areas of CSR activities. On the basis of availability of data, these 3 corporations are selected for the study. Data are collected from the secondary sources mostly from the annual reports of these companies, websites and others secondary sources.
