THROWING LIGHT ON WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT IN INDIA

Abstract

In India, women empowerment is the most powerful instrument for development. Today, women are actively leading the world and outperforming others in all areas of life. While the world is still holding its breath for a miraculous escape from the coronavirus pandemic, it’s the women governor’s and nations led by these incredible leaders who are taking the lead and marching ahead on their own wherever they need to. Women’s empowerment in India depends to a large extent on a variety of factors such as urban/rural, caste and class, education, and age. Action on women’s empowerment is taking place at the state level, local level, and at the national level, but women face disparities in most sectors such as education, economic opportunity, health & medical assistance, political participation, and much more. This shows that there are huge gaps between strategy improvements and real action at community level.
