GLOBAL TEMPTATIONS: URGENT CONSIDERATIONS

Abstract

The sheer desire to go abroad with the motive of permanent settlement amongst Punjabis’ especially amongst youth is substantially augmenting day by day. This race was very much prevalent amongst the people of Doaba and Majha region in late 90’s. However, the same is the mindset of the people of Malwa region. Despite immense and severe challenges of going and living abroad, the youth of the Malwa region want to settle down in foreign countries. Considering the present scenario, the current study encompassed a group of 120 students from Sangrur district (Malwa region) who have the aspiration to go and settle down abroad. In the context of this background, the current study aims to determine and analyse the reasons behind the choices of students moving abroad. For the aforesaid purpose, the researcher collected the data from various IELTS institutes as the best way amongst the Punjabis to go abroad.
