Abstract

In today's dynamic and interconnected world, civics education plays a crucial role in preparing students to become informed, engaged, and active citizens. Traditional methods of teaching civics often focus on rote memorization of facts and theoretical concepts, which may not fully equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to navigate complex civic issues and participate meaningfully in democratic processes. As educators seek to foster civic competence and civic engagement among students, innovative teaching methods have emerged as powerful tools to enhance the quality and effectiveness of civics education. This paper is an attempt to explore the innovative teaching methods in civics with reference to project method.
