This chapter mainly focuses on the information on the connection between the Russia-Ukraine conflict and alterations in the INR/USD exchange rate. This chapter begins with a brief overview of the two types of exchange rates. Additionally, the common elements that influence exchange rates were highlighted in the later portion of the introduction. In the second section of the chapter, a wartime occurrence is critically examined. The chapter comes to a close with a discussion of the latest current RBI policies and actions, followed by a conclusion.

nto existence. The term ‘Indian urban poverty’ is defined and examined in this paper, along with its rising socioeconomic causes and dynamics through the study of available literature. The paper aims to find the answer to the questions – “why” many urban residents remain poor and what is known about existing policies aiming to reduce it in India. Along with a few proposals to minimize India’s urban poverty, specific conclusions addressing difficulties and ground-rooted issues of urban poverty reduction are discussed through this paper.
