Abstract

In today's rapidly evolving global landscape, the development of global competencies among 21st-century learners is essential for navigating the complexities of our interconnected world. This study explores the multifaceted dimensions of global competencies necessary for learners to thrive in a globalized society. Through an extensive review of literature and empirical research, the study identifies several key competencies that are indispensable for learners in the 21st century. Cultural awareness and intercultural competence emerge as foundational components of global competency, enabling learners to understand, appreciate, and effectively engage with diverse cultural perspectives and practices. Communication and collaboration skills are also paramount, facilitating effective interaction and cooperation across cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries. Additionally, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities equip learners with the analytical tools and creative strategies needed to address complex global challenges and opportunities.
