Abstract

In recent years, the educational sector has undergone a profound transformation propelled by the widespread adoption of digitalization. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical studies, this research investigates how digitalization is revolutionizing various aspects of the educational sector. Digitalization provides access to education through online learning platforms, digital resources, and virtual classrooms, barriers to education such as geographical constraints and resource limitations are increasingly being overcome. Moreover, digitalization has empowered educators to employ innovative teaching methods, catering to diverse learning styles and needs. Furthermore, digitalization has revolutionized the learning experience, offering personalized and interactive content that fosters student engagement and motivation. Through adaptive learning algorithms and artificial intelligence, educational platforms can provide learning materials to individual student preferences and proficiency levels, thereby optimizing learning outcomes. This paper aims to describe the digitalization of the education system in India. The basic challenges in the higher education system in India are resistance to change, motivation levels of students, technical skills of students, students’ understanding of technology, student performance evaluation, etc. Digital Education can be defined as the usage of a combination of technology, digital content, and instructions in the education system to make things more effective and efficient than the former traditional education system in place. In conclusion, as digitalization continues to reshape the landscape of education, policymakers, educators, and institutions must embrace technological advancements while addressing associated challenges, a contemporary way of imparting education is needed to manage such transformation arising as a consequence of the creation of a huge amount of information in a systematic manner. Through this research paper, an attempt has been made to understand the upcoming trends in the digital education system in India that will give shape to the future of our coming generations for the betterment.
