AUTOMATIC ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT-SYSTEM BASED ON FACE RECOGNITION

Abstract

Student’s regular attendance in class is essential for performance evaluation and quality control in today's educational system. The majority of institutions continue to use insecure and time-consuming traditional methods such as calling names or signing documents. The problem of fake attendance and proxies can be solved by using an automatic attendance system. The main steps in this system are face detection and recognition. Following that, the detected faces can be compared against a data of student faces. This clever system will make it easier to keep track of students' attendance and records. The system is intended to provide a quick, secure, and accurate method of recording attendance. It eliminates the need for manual attendance tracking and recording, saving time and resources. The system also provides enhanced security by using biometric data to authenticate attendance records.
