Sports and yoga are two important factors that immensely contribute to the personality development of an individual. Engaging in sports activities improves physical and mental health and develops qualities like teamwork, perseverance, discipline, leadership, sociability etc. The objective of this paper is to throw light on the significant effects that sports and yoga have on personality development. The paper utilizes various secondary sources i.e., books, journals, websites, articles etc. In writing this paper and provides a descriptive account of the role of sports and yoga on personality development by emphasizing their impacts on physical fitness, as well as various character traits such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, leadership skills, personal growth, mental clarity, social skills, time management and management of mental problems.Published
